Job summary

Rectory Court, a Cinnamon Care Collection home in Blackheath, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for 16 hours per week in Lewisham. You will support the Maintenance Manager to keep the home safe and comfortable for residents, handling routine tasks, repairs, and coordination of deliveries.

Experience in general maintenance is preferred; plumbing, painting and decorating, and carpentry are beneficial. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

The main function is to support and assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining all areas within the home.
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, with a hands-on approach.
Experience in general maintenance; plumbing, painting/decorating, carpentry beneficial.

Responsibilities

Assist in day-to-day maintenance of the home including faults or repairs within capability and guidelines.
Support heads of departments to identify areas for improvement and perform preventative tasks.
Ensure maintenance standards are met and respond to maintenance requests promptly.
Take receipt of deliveries and store maintenance items; ensure equipment is safe and working.
