The role

Are you a handyperson? A practical powerhouse who carries tools in case of an emergency? Do you find satisfaction in solving problems and fixing issues?

You’ll make Ember Lockefeel like home by keeping our building and apartments looking fresh, so our guests feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared-for. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll service, repair, paint, and upkeep apartments with pride and care.

What it looks like

• Making sure apartments are looking their best for guests’ arrivals
• Maintaining apartments throughout guests’ stays
• Carrying out maintenance quickly and efficiently when needed
• Proactively addressing potential future maintenance issues
• Being on-call for maintenance needs, including out-of-hours on a rota system
• Supporting management with health and safety duties
• Managing new building works and supporting refurbishments

What you'll need

• Experience in a customer-facing role (ideally)
• Practical knowledge of plumbing, gas, or electrics (trade qualifications are a plus)
• Problem-solving skills
• Confidence to act quickly and take smart risks
• Courage to question and evolve
• Curiosity for innovation and creativity
• Ability to challenge convention and seek better ways
• Accountability and empowerment skills
