Job summary

Inskip St Peter's CE Primary School in Preston is seeking a Welfare Assistant to supervise pupils at lunchtime, both indoors in the dining area and outdoors in the playground. You will support positive behaviour, assist with minor accidents and help keep pupils safe, happy and well supervised during the lunch break.

The role is part time, working 11:45am to 1pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only. The appointment is temporary until 17 July 2027, with potential for permanency for the right

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary schoolchildren.
• Ability to support positive behaviour and safeguarding.
• Ability to supervise lunchtime activities and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunchtime in dining area and playground.
• Support positive behaviour and safe movement between areas.
• Deal with minor accidents and report safeguarding concerns.
• Help pupils develop independence and social skills during lunch.
