The Old Station Nursery Group is hiring a Lunch Cover Nursery Practitioner at Sixpenny Day Nursery in Roundway. This part-time role offers 15 hours across Monday to Friday, with pay starting at £12.71–£13.21 per hour and opportunities to support children during lunch hours.

No formal qualifications are required for this role, and prior childcare experience is beneficial. You will work with a supportive team to create a warm, safe environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• No qualifications are required for this role; previous experience in childcare would be beneficial.
• DBS checks and right to work in the UK will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with EYFS.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, sharing records with parents.
• Support day-to-day nursery operations, maintaining high hygiene, safety and care standards.
• Guide apprentices and volunteers while contributing as part of the team.
