Job summary

Turning Point is hiring a Part-time Peer Support Worker in Mansfield to support individuals with mental health challenges. You will work with a team to plan, deliver and review personalised recovery and risk management strategies, helping residents build skills for independent living.

Role requires using your own lived experience to inspire hope and empower others, with strong communication skills and a non-judgemental, person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health or social care settings is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Empathy, resilience and ability to work with individuals with lived experience.

Responsibilities

• Draw on personal lived experiences to inspire hope in others.
• Work within a team to develop tailored support and risk management plans.
• Help residents gain skills and coping strategies for independence.
• Deliver face-to-face support with residents in the community, individually and in groups.
• Communicate clearly to diverse audiences and adapt messages accordingly.
• Model responsible, self-aware and hopeful approaches to recovery.
