An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced litigation secretary to join a highly reputable and established team based in Chichester.

Due to the nature of this role, it is entirely office-based. The role is part-time, working from 9 am to 5:15 pm, three days a week – days to be agreed.

Main purpose of the role

Working in the personal injury team to provide administrative support to Fee Earners within the department.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

  • Liaising with experts, counsel, witnesses, and the court
  • Preparing correspondence and documents through audio and copy typing
  • Using accounting and time recording software
  • Checking documents for accuracy
  • Costing files for cost update letters and billing
  • Taking telephone messages
  • Making appointments, managing diaries, and attending to clients' reasonable requirements
  • Using photocopier and scanner where necessary
  • Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of all documentation to comply with GDPR regulations

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good academic record
  • Secretarial experience in Litigation is essential
  • Experience with the Proclaim Case Management system is an advantage
