Job summary

St Bernard's High School in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a part-time Librarian to job-share with the current postholder. The role is 3 days per week (Monday-Wednesday) during term time, including training days, starting October 2026.

Hours are 8.00am to 4.00pm. You will run Rapid Plus intervention and supervise Library lessons for Year 8 and Year 9, helping develop reading and literacy, and fostering a love of reading for pleasure.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school library is preferred but not essential.
• Role is part-time with a job-share arrangement.
• Working knowledge of Accelerated Reader is preferable.
