Job summary

Aspire Leisure Centre is seeking a Level 2 Swimming Teacher to deliver one-to-one lessons for disabled children on Saturday afternoons (2:00pm–5:30pm) with potential extra hours as the programme grows.

You will plan engaging, tailored lessons in a safe, encouraging environment, building water confidence and skills while supporting families and swimmers with a compassionate, patient approach.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid STA or SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification.
• Passionate about inclusive swimming and supporting children with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
• Delivers engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to individuals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality one-to-one swimming lessons for disabled children.
• Adapt teaching approach to meet individual needs and abilities.
• Build positive relationships with swimmers and families.
• Encourage confidence, independence and water enjoyment.
• Ensure lessons are safe and aligned with Swim England principles.
• Collaborate with a supportive, inclusive team.
