Job summary

St Julie’s Catholic High School in Liverpool seeks a Learning Support Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school under the supervision of a Curriculum Leader. The successful candidate will have experience working with secondary age pupils and will contribute to a professional team, providing specialist assistance to pupils who need extra help to overcome barriers to learning.

The post is part-time (30 hours per week) during term time, with DBS and safeguarding checks required;

Qualifications

• Experience of working with secondary age pupils.
• Ability to support teaching and learning for all pupils.
• Ability to work as part of a professional team.
• Willingness to abide by safeguarding and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assistance to pupils who need help to overcome barriers to learning.
• Support teaching and learning under supervision of Curriculum Leader.
• Work with staff as part of a professional team.
• Assist with ensuring a welcoming, caring and supportive environment.
