Job summary

NHS Scotland seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist at East Lothian Community Hospital to provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management for a diverse patient group. You will discharge appropriately and refer onward as needed, while working independently within a supportive team.

You will also supervise occupational therapists, support staff, and OT students, and contribute to training for carers and professionals. PVG scheme membership is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessment and treatment for a complex range of patients.
• Supervise occupational therapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers and OT students.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist OT services to a complex range of patients referred to the service.
• Supervise occupational therapy staff and students.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for professionals and carers.
