Job summary

St Andrew’s Healthcare in Birmingham is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist for a part-time role (3.5 days per week) to lead a secure inpatient service. You will provide high-quality, recovery-focused care to adults with complex mental health needs within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will hold Full GMC registration, MRCPsych, and a CCT in Forensic or General Adult Psychiatry, with Approved Clinician status.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• MRCPsych or equivalent.
• CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry (or within six months of completion).
• Approved Clinician and Responsible Clinician status.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership as Responsible Clinician for a designated ward (Low Secure Services).
• Oversee assessment, treatment, and recovery-focused care for adults with complex mental health needs.
