Job summary

Dalgety Bay Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Laundry Assistant to manage washing, drying, ironing and returning items with care and attention to detail. The role supports residents’ comfort and daily wellbeing within a clean, well-organised laundry area.

You will work 22.5 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with PVG paid, pension, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks of annual leave (full-time equivalent). A positive, reliable approach and good teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, iron and return items correctly; label clothing clearly.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and laundry procedures.
• Ensure safe, efficient and reliable service for residents' clothing and linen.
