The role.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded and reputable global company as a Laboratory Technician, working on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday each week, from 8am to 4.30pm.

This is a permanent part-time position offering a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic laboratory environment. The successful candidate will perform analytical testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure product quality.

Your day-to-day duties include:

1. Perform analysis and operations according to plans and schedules
2. Produce and report accurate analytical results
3. Immediately report any out-of-spec results or non-conformance
4. Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
5. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
6. Follow all safety protocols and regulations within the lab
7. Assist in preparing samples, reagents, and solutions
8. Collaborate with the team on ongoing research and projects
9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the lab

What we're looking for:

Experience in a laboratory setting within the food, beverage, or food service industry, strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills. Microbiological experience is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency with laboratory equipment and software, and knowledge of safety standards and protocols are required. A degree in a scientific discipline or related field is preferred, along with relevant research or testing experience.
