Blofield Primary School invites applications for a part-time teaching assistant to support KS1 (with KS2 potential) from October 2026 or earlier. The role is 11.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 1.15 pm–3.30 pm, term time plus one week.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children and assisting teachers with support plans including EHCPs.
• Knowledge of teaching phonics and early reading.
• Able to support the teacher in managing children's behaviour in line with the school's ethos.
• Enthusiastic about being part of the wider life of the school.
• Part-time availability: 11.25 hours per week, mornings/afternoons.

Responsibilities

• Assist with KS1 class activities and learning support tasks.
• Support planning and implementation of targeted interventions as directed.
• Support pupils’ behaviour management and positive conduct in class.
