Job summary

Ashley House Care Home, part of Bupa, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the team in Cirencester. This permanent part-time position involves supporting the kitchen, plating meals, and helping prepare food trolleys for residents across shifts.

The role emphasizes high dining standards and resident comfort within a care home setting. The ideal candidate will hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, have kitchen experience, and be a team player who communicates well with staff and residents.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with residents and teams.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
