We are seeking a proactive and adaptable HR Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on, people-facing role, providing daily HR support across a busy and varied working environment. With a strong focus on employee engagement and support, this role requires a visible presence across all operational teams.
You will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR assistance across a workforce of approximately 130 employees. This role will involve regular face-to-face contact with staff and managers, supporting a full range of HR activities including employee relations, disciplinary processes, performance management, and documentation. Your ability to build rapport, remain organised, and handle confidential matters professionally is key.
Act as the first point of contact for HR queries.
Support employee engagement initiatives and communications.
Attend and minute formal meetings (e.g., disciplinary, grievance, performance reviews).
Assist in managing employee relations cases with professionalism and discretion.
Support HR administrative tasks and ensure documentation is up to date.
Be actively present on-site daily, supporting staff at all levels.
Flexibility to work across different departments and adapt to changing needs.
CIPD Level 3 or above (completed or working towards).
Demonstrable experience in employee relations, disciplinaries, and minute taking.
Comfortable working in face-to-face operational environments.
Experience working across various industries and adapting to different workplace cultures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organisation and time management.
