Job description

This is a part time role to assist with day to day HR operations, including employee queries, HR Documentation & maintain accurate employee records.

Client Details

Our client is a well established construction company seeking a part time HR assistant to join the team to assist the HR manager with day to day operations.

Description

  • Assist with day to day operations including employee queries, HR documentation & maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Support the recruitment process including liaising with recruiters, screening applications, coordinating interviews and onboarding new staff & recruitment of apprentices.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on policies and procedures and assist the HR manager with ER matters.
  • Support line management with annual performance appraisal process & probationary reviews, ensuring documentation is filed appropriately.
  • Maintain and update the HR database in line with any absence, contract changes made or new starters / leavers.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks and reference requests.
  • Process leavers, conduct exit interviews & analyse leaver data.
  • Produce standard references for leavers as required.
  • Process DBS checks and other client specific vetting procedures.
  • Organise Occupational Health checks for staff and ensure follow ups are arranged.

Profile

  • CIPD level 3 qualified or equivalent experience within HR
  • A good understanding of HR processes & best practices, including recruitment, ER & performance management
  • Good time management & organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in administrative tasks
  • Able to meet deadlines and adapt to the needs of the role as may be required
  • Experience with HR systems and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Able to handle sensitive information with integrity & confidentiality.
