As part of our new dedicated housing provision for 16-24 year olds based in Nottingham, YMCA Robin Hood Group are looking for responsible, trustworthy and compassionate people to join our Support Housing team to oversee the smooth running of our building and provide residents with support and care. Our Housing Duty Workers are at the heart and soul of our housing team; you will be the first person most of our residents contact, supporting them with anything they need while overseeing the smooth running of the building.

Being a Housing Duty Worker is one of the busiest and most varied roles in our service; you will cover everything from support work, incidents, administration, security, fire safety, cleaning support, and anything else that might crop up while you are on shift. With a specific focus on supporting young people, you will enjoy variety, stay busy and thrive on the day-to-day unpredictability.

We have made sure our shift patterns are fully accessible by public transport no matter what time you start or finish. We have our own team of weekday Housing Duty Workers, so there is no need to work during the week unless you want overtime.
We are looking for someone ideally with experience or interest in gaining experience working in supported housing with vulnerable adults and young people aged 16-24. We are happy to provide training and development to start a career in Housing. You will need to understand the needs of young people (aged 16–25) who may have drug, alcohol and other issues. Regardless of background, you should be confident dealing with difficult situations and handling conflict appropriately.
This role would suit you if you have experience or a desire to learn skills for social work, youth work, housing, drug and alcohol services, rehabilitation services, sociology, security and more.
