Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to join our professional and hardworking Housekeeping Team. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating truly memorable and impressive 5* experiences for our guests.

About Us

Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has recently completed a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 bedchambers and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces.

Job Description

£11.92 per hour

Part time permanent position – 20 hours per week: 10:30 am start to 2:30 pm finish. 5 days a week, including weekends.

May include one evening turndown shift per week.

1. Ensuring bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned to a high standard, including vacuuming, polishing and refreshing linen and towels.
2. Cleaning and tidying our public areas ready for the guests.
3. Restocking guest room supplies, including linen, amenities, and collaterals.
4. Engaging with guests where required.
5. Reporting any maintenance deficiencies to the housekeeping manager.

Cleaning rooms can be physically demanding, but you will receive full training and be surrounded by a supportive team.
