Job description

A part-time Housekeeper is required by a friendly family of four near Frome.

The family seeks someone to perform duties such as morning help with breakfast and nursery preparations, cleaning up after breakfast, housekeeping tasks including tidying the kitchen, laundry, ironing, toy tidying, bed-making, house cleaning, meal preparation for freezing or refrigeration, and running errands. They require one day of deep cleaning per week, with occasional extra hours for babysitting and weekend help.

Ideal candidates will have relevant private household experience, uphold high standards of work, be fun, proactive, and able to use their initiative while sensing the room's dynamic. Both parents work from home at times. The role involves some childcare assistance, including helping with the children and taking them swimming on Thursday mornings until September. The family has a 4-year-old who enjoys arts, crafts, and learning, and a 2-year-old who is active and outdoorsy, living on a farm, so shared interests would be advantageous.

This is a permanent position.

Location: Beckington

Minimum experience: 5 years in housekeeping, with childcare experience

Training needed: Paediatric First Aid

Qualifications: Not essential

Working hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:30 am - 1 pm; Thursday 7:30 am - 12 pm

Start date: ASAP

Pets: 1 dog (Cocker Spaniel), 1 outdoor farm cat

Driving: Essential, own car required

Pay: Up to £17 gross per hour
