Job description

Marcilly Recruitment’s client, a UHNW residence in Marleybone, is looking for an experienced and reliable Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook to support the smooth daily running of their home.

This is a live-out, part-time position, working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys both meticulous housekeeping and preparing healthy, home-cooked meals.

Rate: £20–£23 per hour, depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Central London
Hours: Part-time (approx. 20–25 hours per week) 09:30- 14:30 or 10:30-15:30
Schedule: Ideally mornings to afternoon, with some flexibility

About the Household

• This is a respectful and well-run private residence with one principal in part-time residence.
• The household is informal, but high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation are expected.
• The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, proactive in their duties, and discreet in their manner.

Housekeeper/ Cook Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping

• General housekeeping and upkeep of the home
• Cleaning of all rooms including kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas
• Laundry and ironing (including care for delicates)
• Organisation of wardrobes and storage spaces
• Monitoring and replenishing household supplies

Cooking

• Preparing simple, healthy meals (mostly lunches or early dinners)
• Familiarity with dietary preferences and ability to follow recipes
• Kitchen clean-up after cooking Occasional grocery shopping or order management

Housekeeper/ Cook Additional Support

• Accepting deliveries and managing errands when required
• Preparing the home for occasional guests
• Pet care or light plant care if applicable (minimal)

Housekeeper/ Cook Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a private household or similar setting
• Strong housekeeping and home cooking skills
• Comfortable working independently
• Friendly, professional, and discreet Good spoken English
• Reliable and flexible, with a can-do attitude
