Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust in Leominster is looking for a part-time Estates & Facilities cleaner to provide a courteous, efficient cleaning service at Leominster Community Hospital. The role requires use and care of cleaning materials and equipment, adherence to COSHH and safety procedures, and a patient-centered approach.

You will communicate with staff, patients and visitors, follow instructions, and may travel between sites within Herefordshire.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Basic literacy skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and organise work.
• Experience in cleaning or catering environment.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete).
• Understanding of health and safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient cleaning service within the trust.
• Use and care of approved cleaning materials and equipment per instructions.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of materials in line with COSHH.
• Maintain a friendly, professional attitude toward patients, staff and visitors.
• Communicate with staff, suppliers, contractors and patients about cleaning matters.
• Travel between sites as required and perform ad-hoc cleaning duties.
