Job summary

Sainsbury's Argos in Inverness is hiring a Home Delivery Driver on a fixed-term basis until 2 January 2027. You will drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver products to customers’ doors, ensure vehicle readiness, and assist customers with queries. Roles include on-site shopfloor tasks when not on the road.

The position requires being over 18, holding a valid UK driving licence with limited points, and passing a driving risk assessment. Right to work in the UK is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 with a full UK/EU driving licence held 12+ months and ≤6 points.
• Must pass an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview.
• Right to Work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver products to customers' doors on time and in good condition.
• Carry out checks to keep the van clean, organised and roadworthy; secure delivery cases.
• Assist customers and keep them informed of any delays.
• Be comfortable learning new technology and using a large vehicle in diverse locations.
• When not driving, help in stock room or shop floor to keep operations slick.
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to offer helpful recommendations.
