Driver Hire Stockport - HGV Driver Vacancies

Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting part-time HGV Drivers for Class 1 (Cat C+E) and Class 2 (Cat C) to join our agency and work with various clients around the SK postcode area.

As the busy season approaches, we are seeking experienced HGV Drivers to support our expanding client base. We have work available Monday through Friday, with candidates ideally seeking 2-3 days per week. During peak times, more days may be available. We are flexible with working days and hours, accommodating your availability. Start times typically range from 5am to 8am depending on the client.

About Us: We have been operating for 40 years and pride ourselves on delivering quality service. Our roles include haulage, flatbed work, and both day and night shifts, serving over 40 customers weekly.

Driver Responsibilities:

1. Driving HGV vehicles responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws.
2. Performing daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance.
3. Maintaining communication with Branch Managers regarding daily progress.
4. Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Full UK Driving Licence.
2. Cat C Licence (HGV Class 2) or CE Licence (HGV Class 1).
3. Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card.
4. No DD, DR, IN, TT endorsements.
5. At least 6 months relevant driving experience preferred.
6. Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Pay Rates:

Class 1: £16.81 per hour, with overtime at £22.41 per hour (after 8 hours). These rates include holiday pay. To accrue holidays separately, rates are £15 per hour and £20 per hour overtime.

Class 2: £15.68 per hour, with overtime at £20.91 per hour (after 8 hours). For separate holiday accrual, rates are £14 per hour and £18.66 per hour overtime.
