Job description

Overview

Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for Part-Time HGV Drivers; Class 1 (Cat C+E) and Class 2 (Cat C) to join our agency and work for a variety of our clients around the SK Postcode. As the busy season is fast approaching, we are looking to add experienced HGV Drivers to our team to support our busy client base.

Schedule

We have work available Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be looking for 2-3 days of work per week (in peak times we may offer more). We are flexible with days and hours and can work around your availability. Start times vary by client, usually between 5am-8am.

Duties

• Driving the HGV vehicle responsibly and safely while obeying all traffic laws.
• Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
• Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress.
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving licence.
• Cat C Licence (Category C - HGV Class 2 Driver) OR CE Licence - HGV Class 1.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• No DD\'s, DR\'s, IN\'s, TT\'s endorsements.
• Preferred 6 months relevant driving experience.
• Able to work to tight deadlines.

Pay Rates

PAID WEEKLY VIA PAYE

Class 1 Rates: £17.59 per hour and £23.53 per hour overtime (after 8 hours). The rates above include holidays accrued within the hourly rate; if you wish to have your holidays put aside, the hourly rate for Class 1 would be £15.70 per hour and £21 per hour overtime.

Class 2 Rates: £16.47 per hour and £22.05 per hour overtime (after 8 hours). This rate of pay includes holidays accrual within the hourly rate; if you wish to accrue these separately, then this rate will be £14.70 per hour and £19.68 per hour overtime.
