Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Finance Assistant at Jacobs Neurological Centre in Sawbridgeworth. You will support cash handling, petty cash, purchase orders, and ledgerkeeping within a healthcare setting.

Working 22.5 hours per week, you will assist with Patient monies, compliance with policies, and admin tasks such as minute taking and filing. The role offers pro-rata salary and training opportunities at Elysium Healthcare.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths or equivalent required.
• Articulate and numerate with good communication.
• Experience dealing with cash and reconciliations.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare business environment.
• Awareness of the Data Protection Act.
• Able to handle highly confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the management of Patient Monies system, including DWP benefit claims as appropriate.
• Assisting in the management of Petty Cash within the Finance Office and hospital.
• Assisting in Purchase Order Processing - WAP/Ordering of Goods and Services.
• Maintaining Head Office Purchase Ledger Spreadsheet with adhoc queries.
• Ensuring compliance with all Finance Policies & Procedures.
• Liaising with all disciplines and Head Office staff regularly.
• Undertaking minute taking during meetings.
• Scanning and filing important documents.
