Job summary

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the Domestic Services Department at Ayrshire Central Hospital on a permanent, part-time basis. The post offers 14.8 hours per week with shifts Mon-Thu 1:30pm-4:30pm and Fri 1:30pm-4:18pm.

Applicants should be physically fit and able to work independently or as part of a team in a healthcare environment. A high standard of cleanliness is required, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or healthcare cleaning is advantageous.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Good communication and physical fitness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake housekeeping/ cleaning duties to a high standard within the Domestic Services Department.
• Support day-to-day cleaning operations at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
• Be flexible with staffing and changing priorities.
