Part Time Health & Safety Consultant

Job Description

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional seeking a flexible, part-time role? A growing construction consultancy is seeking a Part-Time Health & Safety Consultant to support their expanding workload. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a flexible environment and is confident working independently with construction clients.

Working Hours:

2/3 days per week, flexible with core hours (e.g., 9am-3:30pm)

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct up to two site inspections per day across Home Counties and London
2. Develop and review risk assessments, method statements, and Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)
3. Support the development and implementation of company policies and procedures
4. Maintain ISO accreditations through internal auditing and compliance checks
5. Assist in accident investigations and provide proactive advice to improve site safety standards
6. Manage a mix of project-based and retained client work

Requirements

Essential:

1. NEBOSH General Certificate
2. CSCS Card
3. Minimum of 2 years' construction-related experience
4. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload independently
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and site teams

Desirable:

1. NEBOSH Construction Certificate
2. Tech IOSH membership
3. Experience working in a consultancy environment

Benefits

1. £50,000 - £55,000 (Pro Rata)
2. Mileage paid at 45p per mile
3. Pro-rata 20 days annual leave
