This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to step into a leadership role with flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to influence the company’s future direction.

About the Role:

As the Head of Finance, you will be the key financial decision-maker in the organisation, responsible for both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning. Your role will include:

  • Full ownership of thefinance function, reporting directly to the CEO
  • Preparation and presentation ofmonthly management accountsandboard-level financial papers
  • Oversight ofbank reconciliations,payroll, andcash flow management
  • Leading theannual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance
  • Attending and contributing toBoard meetings, offering clear financial insights and recommendations
  • Working closely with the CEOto identify and assessgrowth opportunities, investment decisions, and financial strategy
  • Managing and mentoring a small finance team, includingtwo Accounts Assistants
  • This is a hands-on role that combines operational excellence with strategic leadership. You’ll be instrumental in shaping financial policy, improving systems and processes, and supporting the organisation’s growth ambitions.

About You:

  • Fully qualified accountant(ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) – essential
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior finance role, ideally within an SME or entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently and leading a small team
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for driving improvement and growth
