Job Description:

We're recruiting an ambitious Head Chef to create exceptional food experiences for Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted to 30 hours per week. The Head Chef will be responsible for delivering outstanding culinary experiences and fostering a positive kitchen environment. This role offers opportunities for career progression within a company that values individuality and rewards excellence.

Shift patterns are flexible, and please note this role is contracted for 5 weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing high-quality, delicious food that satisfies clients and customers
• Identifying opportunities to enhance food service
• Creating a welcoming and supportive kitchen environment for the team
• Delivering tasty food concepts to customers
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Managing food ordering, stock control, and waste reduction
• Overseeing kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
• Managing budgets and achieving financial targets
• Ensuring compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations
