Job summary

University of Portsmouth is inviting applications for Sessional Teaching Fellows to support teaching within the Faculty of Science and Health. The role is hourly paid or fixed-term, flexible hours by negotiation, with duties including teaching, preparation, marking, and related administration.

Successful candidates join a bank of staff to be called upon as required. Interview day will be confirmed after shortlisting; a micro-teach precedes the interview.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching and assessment in higher education.
• Ability to design and deliver sessions in a subject area.
• Familiarity with micro-teaching and short assessment tasks.

Responsibilities

• Teach within the Faculty on an hourly paid or fixed-term basis.
• Prepare and deliver teaching sessions, assess work and provide feedback.
• Assist with administration, marking, and exam preparation as needed.
• Support course administration and holiday pay processes.
