Overview

Hairdressing Tutor

Are you an experienced Hairdressing Tutor / Assessor looking for some extra hours? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established training provider that is looking to extend their team. A Tutor/assessor is needed to help support learners throughout their qualifications. You will be required to provide tutoring support and complete learner assessments on all units of the Level 2 Diploma in professional hairdressing and Level 3 Diploma in Barbering. You will be in charge of a group of learners, supporting each individual via theory and practical based teaching. The role is mainly based at a centre in Newcastle but will also involve some travelling across the Newcastle area. This is a part-time role, 1.5 - 3 days a week, with a view to extend if needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide tutoring support and complete learner assessments for Level 2 Diploma in Professional Hairdressing and Level 3 Diploma in Barbering.
  • Support a group of learners, detailing both theory and practical-based teaching approaches.
  • Work primarily at a centre in Newcastle with travel to learners’ workplaces across the Newcastle area.
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate part-time hours (1.5 – 3 days per week) with potential extension.
Qualifications
  • Assessing experience and the ability to deliver up to Level 3 qualifications in Hairdressing.
  • Assessor qualification and/or Teaching qualification.
  • UK driving license and use of own transport.
  • Experience mixing centre-based work with remote delivery and visiting learners in their place of work, in and around Newcastle.
