Part Time Group Reporting Accountant - About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance within a team of 8, you will collaborate with various departments and provide financial reports to senior management. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end, and audit packs
  2. Ensuring the finance function operates efficiently
  3. Engaging with multiple sites and non-finance professionals regarding finances
  4. Producing reports with full commentary for senior management
  5. Preparing weekly supplier payment runs with necessary checks
  6. Reviewing outstanding debtors and managing credit control processes
  7. Conducting weekly and monthly reconciliations to identify and resolve errors
  8. Analyzing sales and margin trends to identify opportunities
  9. Supporting budget holders with queries and relevant information
  10. Assisting with year-end routines
  11. Providing support in other finance areas as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience with multi-site businesses (advantageous)
  • QBE or qualified accountant
  • Strong communication skills
