Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a friendly Food Service Assistant at the Johnson Matthey site in Royston. This permanent part-time role offers 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:00am to 3:00pm, with a pay rate of £13.45 per hour. You will deliver high-quality service to employees and guests in a fast-paced catering environment.

You'll work as part of a supportive team, ensuring food safety, hygiene and customer service standards are met, and support stock and daily operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, hospitality or food service is required.
• Customer-focused approach with good interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional food service to employees and guests.
• Prepare and serve food, including salads and hot and cold desserts.
• Maintain clean, safe and well-presented kitchen and service areas.
• Follow food safety, allergen, hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH procedures.
• Complete temperature checks, allergen records and other food safety documentation.
• Assist with stock management and stocktakes.
• Support the wider catering team during busy periods and as required.
