Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a part-time Partner for service counters at Waitrose & Partners in Haywards Heath. You will showcase knowledge of food, practice excellent hygiene, and build trust with customers while helping to maximise sales.

Night premium of £3.75 per hour applies for hours between 22:00-06:00, with enhanced hours for existing Partners as applicable. The role involves working 13.5 hours across Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday shifts, with a contract type of Temporary and pays

Qualifications

• Clear communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for own food counter with high presentation and hygiene standards.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure products are available.
• Handle open food safely and follow health & safety protocols; help reduce food wastage.
• Maintain knowledge of new products and Waitrose food values (e.g. animal welfare).
• Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks.
