FLT/ Warehouse Operative - Backshift 15.30 – 19.30 Monday to Friday (20 hours) £11.44 ph

Reporting To: Depot Night Manager / Depot General Manager

Freightroute Ltd is a leading family-owned Palletised Distribution Network, operating from ten strategic sites throughout the UK, employing over 420 people, with a fleet of over 175 LGVs and 100 trailers, handling over 800,000 pallets per annum. Our depot in Thetford is integral to our success.

Working within a small team, as a forklift driver, you will be responsible for loading and unloading inbound palletised freight safely and moving pallets to and from the warehouse, canopy, and vehicles. Efficiently stacking and storing the palletised freight in the appropriate areas.

Who are we looking for?

The successful Forklift Operator will have the experience, skill, and flexible attitude to take on this role and thrive.

  • Inspect forklift trucks daily and report any issues found.
  • Conduct operations safely, complying with all Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound pallets are loaded accurately and free of damage, with correct labels, reporting any variances.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, assisting in warehouse, canopy, and trailer tidiness.
  • Possess a current counterbalance certification without exception.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Previous experience in a busy warehouse environment loading and unloading pallets for a fleet of HGVs and trailers is preferred; however, new qualified operators are welcome.
