Part Time Financial Controller (22.5 hours)

Bell Cornwall Recruitment is delighted to be working with a rapidly growing SME in the travel industry. Due to their growth, they are seeking a Part Time Financial Controller (22.5 hours - 3 days a week). They are at an exciting stage where they want to bring their finance function in-house. The successful candidate must be willing to help implement and embed processes and handle transactional accountancy tasks. The office is located on Birmingham Business Park, Solihull.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and present financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
2. Lead the budgeting process, conduct variance analysis, and suggest opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
3. Monitor cash flow, maintain liquidity, and develop cash flow forecasts for short and long-term planning.
4. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals.
5. Ensure tax compliance, manage annual audits, and stay updated with financial regulations and best practices.
6. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections.
7. Develop and enhance financial systems and reporting tools for improved efficiency and accuracy.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Preferably holds CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualification.
2. Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role with strong financial management skills.
3. Proficient in financial software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Excel.
4. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
5. Positive attitude with enthusiasm to grow within the company.
