Job summary

Surrey Heath Borough Council is seeking a part-time Finance Transactions & Systems Clerk to join the team delivering efficient financial processing for suppliers, customers and the public. You will handle posting, payments and reconciliations, with training on Civica Financials provided where needed.

The role supports a flexible, hybrid working environment and a culture focused on service delivery, with opportunities under a significant local government transformation.

Qualifications

• AAT or equivalent accountancy qualification.
• Understanding of Local Government Services and Regulations.
• Experience with Civica Financials is advantageous but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast and accurate processing, recording and posting of the Council’s transactions.
• Ensure invoices are paid promptly and debts are collected.
• Assist with VAT accounting, procurement card programme and reconciliations.
