Job description

Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity with a well-established company? Our client, are seeking a confident and capable Accountant to provide maternity cover from mid to end of October 2025 to June 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and make a real impact in a business that values precision, initiative, and continuous improvement.

Position: Accountant (Maternity Cover)

• Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (Pro-Rata)
• Hours: 3 flexible days per week
• Location: Remote or office-based
• Contract: Fixed-term (Oct 2025 – June 2026)

Reporting to the MD, key responsibilities include:

• Produce monthly management accounts
• Code and enter bank payments
• Perform analysis, journal entries, accruals & prepayments
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Prepare for year-end audit
• Support the accounts assistant when needed

Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following experience:

• Proven experience in monthly management accounting (Sage Line 50 or similar)
• Fully qualified – ACCA/CIMA or similar
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial data
• Willingness to learn new systems and contribute ideas for improvement
• Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude
