A family-run business in South Derbyshire is looking for a part-time Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations. You will be responsible for the entire accounting function, prepare management accounts, and manage cash flow. This role is ideal for qualified or QBE accountants who thrive in a small team environment. The position offers £35 - £40 per hour based on experience and is office-based.

Finance ManagerSouth Derbyshire
Part Time, Permanent - 20 hours P/W - £35 - £40 Per hour.
Office based

SF is currently exclusively recruiting for a part-time Finance Manager based in South Derbyshire on a permanent part time basis to join a friendly family run business. As the Finance Manager you will report to the Managing Director and be responsible for the full spectrum of the accounting function and general office requirements and administration.

Responsibilities
  • Full responsibility for the finance function in a small but growing business.
  • Oversee all financial operations from day-to-day accounting to senior-level reporting.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for the MD.
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Oversee year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/auditors.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, credit control, and supplier payments.
  • Bank reconciliations and journal postings.
  • Payroll processing and pension submissions.
  • VAT returns and compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and analysis.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with clerical duties as well as senior finance tasks.
  • General office administration & business support.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar "all-rounder" finance role within an SME environment is preferred.
  • This role is best suited to a candidate who enjoys a varied position within a small team.
