Job description

I am hiring for a Part Time Finance Manager to join a dynamic and reputable company based in London. This role offers a salary of £40k - £45k FTE and the chance to work within a supportive and inclusive team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage AP/AR, prepare monthly management accounts, oversee cashflow, etc. Ideal for someone with strong reporting and presentation skills, excellent time management abilities, and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the accounts payable function including entering invoices, preparing weekly BACS payment runs for authorization, reconciling supplier statements.
2. Oversee the accounts receivable function including raising and sending invoices, credit control including regular meetings with project managers and bi-weekly debtor updates.
3. Prepare monthly management accounts including month-end procedures, journal preparation, and KPI reporting.
4. Maintain fixed asset register and manage prepayments and accruals.
5. Present at monthly management meetings and annual board meetings.
6. Manage payroll and pension along with cashflow management.
7. Ensure all Revenue & Customs returns are filed within the required deadlines.
8. Manage the enrollment process for any new employees including maintaining the external HR system.
9. Oversee the timebooking system (Timemaster), setting up new staff members, training new employees.
10. Post bank transactions for secondary bank accounts.
11. Process credit cards.
12. Process and pay supplier invoices.
13. Check and approve timesheets.
14. Prepare Work-in-Progress (WIP).
15. Post month-end journals.
16. Prepare VAT return.
17. Run month-end in Sage to post prepayments and depreciation.
18. Preparation of management accounts.
19. Cashflow management.
20. Paying Corporation Tax.
21. HR system maintenance.

2. Payroll processing and FPS (Full Payment Submission) submission.
3. Prepare month-end journals.
4. Review monthly management accounts and submit with brief explanations.
5. Attend management meetings and present a financial summary.
6. Check and submit VAT return.
7. Annually:
8. Confirmation Statement filing.
9. Check final corporation tax payment in September.
10. Filing of annual accounts.
11. Prepare strategic report for board meeting.
