Job summary

Eurofins UK Product Testing Services in Manchester seeks a Part-time Finance Controller (20 hours/wk, 09:00–14:00, Mon–Fri, hybrid). You will lead financial planning, reporting and performance analysis, partnering with the MD and leadership to drive profitable growth and governance.

The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, progression toward ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent, and excellent Excel skills to support budgeting, forecasting and cost control across OOCC and HR costs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Understanding of KPI development, profitability analysis, cost control and business performance management.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and control.

Responsibilities

• Partner with MD and senior leadership to develop and execute the annual business strategy.
• Translate strategic initiatives into targets and KPIs to drive financial performance.
• Challenge assumptions with data-driven analysis, scenario modelling, and business cases.
• Monitor budget, forecast and plans; identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead monthly business reviews and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support cost centre monitoring and optimisation of OOCC for budget alignment.
• Analyse variances; work with operations to implement corrective actions.
• Develop and track BTM objectives across revenue, margin and productivity.
• Maintain reporting tools and dashboards for management visibility.
• Assess financial impact of investments and space allocations to maximise ROI.
• Lead planning, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of personnel costs.
• Collaborate with HR to align workforce plans with targets.
• Deliver timely management reporting on performance and profitability.
• Ensure governance and ESG compliance in financial controls.
