Job summary

FYBA Talent is seeking a part-time Finance Assistant to join our team near Petersfield. This new role suits someone with good finance/accounts experience who enjoys ownership and a flexible, school-hour style arrangement.

You'll work closely with Directors and external accountants, handling day-to-day finance tasks, including credit control, payroll support, supplier invoices, and VAT preparation. 16 hours per week with potential to adapt hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control, accounts or finance administration.
• Organised and comfortable managing own workload.
• Confident chasing payments and communicating with customers.
• Accurate and good with numbers.
• Proactive and willing to take ownership.
• Exposure to payroll, VAT preparation or contractor timesheets is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Credit control and chasing outstanding invoices.
• Keeping on top of aged debt and resolving payment queries.
• Reconciling invoices and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting payroll processes.
• Checking and processing contractor timesheets.
• Making and recording payments.
• Maintaining accurate financial records.
• Liaising with external accountants, including VAT returns.
• General accounts and finance administration.
