Job description

Job title: Part time Finance Assistant

Location: Wandsworth

Hours: 21 hours per week - ideally over 3 days but flexible over 4 or 5 days - 100% office based

Hourly rate: 15.38p/h

Duration: ASAP start for 3 months

Looking for a detail-driven part time Finance Assistant to join a talented finance team and help deliver a quality service across their global group of companies.

Key Duties:

  • Manage and oversee client accounts

  • Prepare and process financial statements

  • Create, issue, and follow up on invoices

  • Collect, review, and analyse data for reports

  • Review and perform audits on financial statements and reports

  • Identify and report discrepancies

  • Recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness

  • Process staff expenses

  • Handle multi-currency transactions

  • Manage intercompany transactions

  • Perform bank reconciliations

  • Oversee credit card transactions and reconciliations

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience

  • Knowledge of accruals and prepayments

  • Strong bookkeeping skills

  • Excellent proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software

  • Highly organised with strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines

Desirable:

  • Working towards, or completion of, an AAT qualification
