Position: Part Time Finance Assistant

Location: Letchworth

Salary: Upto 26,000 (pro rata)

Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent, Monday to Friday 9.30am - 1.30pm

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our client's dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills in finance and contribute to the overall efficiency of the business.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
  • Assist with credit control queries
  • Deal with account opening forms
  • Liaise with internal departments to gather relevant financial information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with foreign currency bank reconciliations
  • Perform general administrative tasks related to the finance department as required.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a finance role is essential.
  • Previous experience in processing import / export invoices highly advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
