Part time Finance Administrator/Payroll - 6-8 hours per week!


Location: East Leeds (LS9 Area)


Contract: Permanent


Hours: 6-8 hours per week


Duration - Ongoing


Pay Rate: £13.00-£14.00 per hour


About the Role


A vital opportunity to work with a well-established grassroots charity dedicated to supporting older people in East Leeds. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while contributing your financial expertise to a compassionate and mission-driven environment.


Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Worker holds responsibility for all core finance functions, helping maintain the charity's financial health and transparency. You'll work closely with the senior leadership team, including the Operations Manager, to support strategic growth and day-to-day financial operations.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage and maintain financial software (QuickBooks), ensuring accurate data entry, invoice tracking, and account reconciliation

  • Process monthly staff salaries in coordination with an external payroll partner

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to inform organisational decision-making

  • Support general finance duties including banking, payments, and petty cash

  • Lead the preparation and submission of annual accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely compliance

  • Oversee bank accounts and ensure secure access and oversight of transactions

  • Respond to finance-related enquiries and provide input in meetings regarding financial strategy

  • Take on other reasonable duties as required, supporting the wider work of the charity with flexibility and initiative

  • Proven experience in a Finance/bookkeeping position

  • Proficient in QuickBooks and payroll processes

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

  • Ability to work independently while communicating effectively across teams

  • IT Literate - Excel, Outlook and Quickbooks
