Job Title: Part-Time Finance Administrator Afternoon Only

Location: Redditch

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours: Part-time, afternoon hours only –12.30/1pm start, Monday to Friday fully office based.

The Role

We’re looking for a confident, proactive, and organised Finance Administrator to support our busy team. This varied role would suit someone from an accountancy practice or credit control background who thrives in a client-facing, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding new client files and maintaining accurate records
  • Raising and updating client records in internal systems
  • General administrative support including filing and stationery ordering
  • Drafting and sending correspondence and engagement letters
  • Organising meetings for partners and preparing supporting documents
  • Meeting and greeting clients and prospects in a professional manner
  • Handling all incoming calls and directing appropriately
  • Overseeing the sales ledger and updating ledger spreadsheets
  • Chasing overdue payments via phone and email
  • Sending reminder and chasing letters to reduce the aged debtor list
  • Responding to payment disputes and queries by email
  • Offering alternative payment options where appropriate
  • Maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal staff

About You

  • Ideally from an accountancy practice or credit control background
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong communicator
  • Friendly, bubbly, and personable – a natural relationship builder
  • Assertive and confident when handling payment follow-ups
  • A self-starter who is proactive and can work independently
  • Highly organised and comfortable juggling varied tasks
  • Confident user of Excel & Microsoft Word
  • If you have previously used Iris this would be an advantage
