Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency is partnering with a respected independent preparatory school in Camden to recruit a dedicated EYFS Class Teacher for a 60% timetable. The role runs Wednesday to Friday on a fixed-term contract from January 2027 to October 2027, with the possibility of extension.

You will deliver EYFS-aligned lessons, foster a warm classroom, support holistic development and collaborate with senior staff to uphold high standards of teaching and pastoral care.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching within EYFS or Reception.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
• Creative, nurturing approach that inspires children to learn through play and discovery.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• Genuine commitment to helping every child flourish.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, creative and purposeful lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
• Create a warm, safe and enabling classroom environment that encourages independence, confidence and curiosity.
• Support children's academic, social and emotional development, ensuring every pupil feels valued and included.
• Plan and deliver exciting learning experiences through play, exploration and practical activities.
• Monitor progress, assess development and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Reception and wider teaching team to maintain outstanding standards of teaching, learning and pastoral care.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues and families to support each child's development.
