Job summary

Navitas University Partnerships Europe (UPE) invites an External Academic Board Member to provide independent oversight and strategic challenge to governance processes. You will attend meetings, scrutinise documentation, and advise on quality assurance and regulatory compliance to enhance programmes and student experience.

The role includes three Academic Board meetings per year, producing annual observations and recommendations, and influencing policy and standards within a forward-thinking

Qualifications

• Senior experience within UK higher education, including academic leadership or quality assurance roles.
• Strong understanding of academic standards, assessment processes, and student-centred learning principles.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and insightful reports.
• Ability to think independently and provide constructive challenge confidently.
• Experience in international education, partnership provision, or OfS regulatory compliance (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Attend three Academic Board meetings annually.
• Provide constructive academic scrutiny and review relevant documentation.
• Advise on quality assurance and regulatory expectations.
• Offer external insights on risk and enhancement.
• Produce an annual report with observations, risks, and recommendations.
