Job summary

Exeter College is seeking a passionate part-time Teacher to join our Young ESOL provision. You will teach English to 16-18 year olds preparing for GCSE or ESOL assessments, with a focus on developing language skills and learner confidence.

The role suits someone committed to inclusive education, who can work well with asylum seekers and refugees, and who brings strong communication and teamwork abilities. The position is on-site with the college’s Professional and Adult Learning team.

Qualifications

• Has experience teaching English.
• Enjoys working with diverse groups, including asylum seekers and refugees.
• Brings excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with ESOL students and supporting them to develop strong literacy skills will be advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to 16-18 year olds to prepare GCSE or ESOL assessments.
• Deliver engaging lessons, monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
